Attempt by bandits to kidnap chair of Zamfara Hajj Commission fails; son and aide killed instead

One of Alhaji Musa Malaha’s sons, Abdulmunaf, and his gateman were killed in a terrorist assault on the home of the ZSHC chairman, Alhaji Musa Malaha, in Gusau, the capital of the state.

Rumor has it that the bandits failed in their effort to abduct the ZSHC chairman.

Additional locals were kidnapped by the bandits, who have not yet demanded ransom, according to reports.

Terrorists allegedly broke into the chairman’s home in the wee hours of Thursday and began firing randomly, according to local resident Ishiaku Umaru.

One of the sons of the chairman and his watchman were slain, while another of his sons was abducted, according to the resident.
