The senator expressed his disapproval of the development and urged the federal and state governments to act swiftly to stop the brutal acts. He warned that the affected people could no longer be patient and expected the government to help them.
The rampaging herdsmen have been ruthlessly attacking Apa, Agatu, and Otukpo LGAs, causing wanton devastation of lives and property, according to DAILY POST’s reporting.
The minority leader’s media adviser, Emmanuel Eche’Ofun John, issued a statement on Friday condemning the recent killings in the land, particularly the killings that occurred on Sunday and Friday in the Ogbaulu community in Agatu LGA. John added that the victims are at their breaking point and will turn to self-help if they do not receive immediate help.
While he urged security forces to apprehend and punish those responsible for the brutal killing of five defenseless people on their fields, he maintained that the attacks had been premeditated and so unjustifiable.
