Rayners: Bafana Bafana must beat the Super Eagles in the 2026 World Cup Quarterfinals

The South African forward Iqraam Rayners has warned that a loss against Nigeria would be disastrous for Bafana Bafana.

On Friday at Uyo’s Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Hugo Broos’ squad will face off against the Super Eagles in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match.

After two games in Group C, Bafana Bafana have managed to earn a victory and a draw.

After a game, they have three points and are in second place in their group.

According to Rayners, they are hoping to come out of the match against Nigeria with a draw.

“We need to get a point in Nigeria, even if we don’t win,” Rayners stated, according to Sowetan Live.

Our goal is to earn six points from these two games, but the coach has already stated that he only wants four.

Anything can happen in football; you witnessed the Pirates’ victory against Sundowns last weekend, so we may steal the game in Nigeria in the final minutes.
