Posted by Concerns over Manchester United defender Luke Shaw have been voiced by Carlton Palmer, a former England international.
His reservations were voiced before England coach Gareth Southgate announced the roster for the European Championship.
Shaw has been an integral part of Manchester United’s success since his arrival, but the English international has struggled to perform to his full potential due to injuries.
On a single occasion since joining the club in the 2014–15 transfer window, he has started more than 30 Premier League games.
This season, Shaw has only made 12 appearances in the league.
He made five appearances for England at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar after joining the national team in 2014.
However, according to Carlton Palmer, the Manchester United defender is not worthy of playing for England.
During an interview with The World Class Stamp Podcast, he expressed his belief that England is facing a problem at left back.
Not a fan of Luke Shaw’s. Although he struggles as a defender, I still rate him highly as a footballer.
Personally, I don’t see Shaw on that side with Maguire. Why would Gareth Southgate play Trippier at left back for the Euros if he was so convinced in Luke Shaw?
