Inquiry of Finidi’s one-year contract with NFF raised by Olofinjana

The new head coach of the Super Eagles, Finidi George, has a lengthy contract, which has not gone down well with former international Seyi Olofinjana.

Following his Monday unveiling by the Nigeria Football Federation, Finidi inked a one-year deal with an additional year’s option.

It is the 53-year-old’s responsibility to guarantee that the Super Eagles will participate in the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

According to Olofinjana, Finidi will not be able to do anything in the allotted year.

I believe it’s great that the Super Eagles’ head coach is a former international, since he or she understands what it’s like to play for Nigeria.

Does he, however, possess extensive expertise at this level? “But again, everyone has to start somewhere,” Olofinjana stated on Supersports Monday Night Football, referring to Guardiola.

Can we all put our faith in him and rally behind him? Now that the appointment has been scheduled, there’s no turning back.

The so-called young, inexperienced coach at this level was given a one-year contract, and in my opinion, it damaged the confidence. When a year from now, what will he be doing?

“”If they genuinely believe in him, they will sign a four- or five-year contract and promise to trust him no matter what.
