Following the State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal’s ruling that upheld his reelection, Hope Uzodinma, the governor of Imo State, has spoken out.
In a unanimous decision, the tribunal upheld Uzodimma’s election as the state governor, according to LEAKNEWS, citing Justice Oluyemi Akintan-Osadebay’s three-man panel.
Thus, Athan Achonu, the candidate for governor from the Labour Party, and the party’s appeal were both rejected by the tribunal.
The ruling, Governor Uzodinma stated in a weekend interview with reporters in Owerri, the capital of Imo State, is a win for all Imolites, not just himself, and it confirms the faith and confidence that the people of Imola have in his administration.
Continuing to build on accomplishments, the present government in Imo State would foster growth, unity, and a brighter future for everyone.
He vowed that the mandate handed to him will convert into genuine development and prosperity for the people.
For believing in the government’s common objective and for their constant support, he commended Ndi Imo.
