Singer Balogun Afolabi Oluwaloseyi (aka Seyi Vibez) of Nigeria has spoken publicly about his modest upbringing.

The ‘Different Pattern’ singer told how, when he was fifteen years old, his family begged him to leave home and start working so that they could all eat.

He recently spoke about this in an interview with Cool FM in Lagos.

At the age of fifteen, Vibez left home, he stated hustling. I had to carve out space for myself since life was tough in the slums. My very own family helped me go free. “Go, don’t die here,” they pleaded. It would be best if you left and worked for yourself.

After releasing his breakout hit “Chance (Na Ham)” in 2022, Seyi Vibez became famous.

At the 16th annual Headies Awards in 2023, he was named Best Street-Hop Artiste for the song.
