The Edo State Government has allegedly failed to address the security situation in the state, according to Aisha Yesufu, a prominent socio-political activist and LP chieftain.

In response to Thursday’s killing of a female farmer in the state, Aisha made this statement on her verified X handle.

Fearing sexual assault or worse from the savage attackers, the activist claims that women in Etsako West have lost interest in working the land.

Policies that “can be deciphered by experts” were her main accusation against the state administration.

Women in Etsako West are so afraid of being killed or raped that they no longer work on farms, according to the post. There has been an upsurge in kidnappings on farms.

“The Edo State Government is occupied with policies that can be understood by experts, while men who work on farms are abducted.”
