Absurd – Jude Bellingham explodes in anger over two-match suspension

The punishment he received for dissent is “ridiculous,” according to Real Madrid player Jude Bellingham.

According to the England international, he is being used as an example in LaLiga.

In last weekend’s 2-2 draw at Valencia, Bellingham had a good chance to score the game-winning goal for Madrid.

The goal, however, was scored just seconds after referee Jesus Gil Manzano blew the full-time whistle.

Bellingham was sent out for yelling, “It’s a f*cking goal,” as he sprinted over to Manzano, according to Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti.

The 20-year-old was sent off for showing a “aggressive attitude” towards the referee, according to the official’s notes.

I didn’t say anything offensive, I didn’t say anything different to what my teammates said, and I think that sometimes since I’m new, they want to make an example of me,” Bellingham told reporters after the draw with RB Leipzig.

“I don’t feel proud, but I think it’s a bit ridiculous to have to sit through two matches just for that. But if that’s the case, I’ll take responsibility and cheer from the stands.”
