Man City achieved history last year when they won the FA Cup, the Premier League, and the UEFA Champions League.
But according to Alexander-Arnold, the recent titles won by Liverpool were more important to the fans than the victories won by City.
As for Akanji, who was on that treble-winning squad, he brushed off the remarks.
That “Alexander-Arnold’s words? “was his statement, as reported by Yahoo Sports (via @FabrizioRomano). He stated that for reasons I can’t fathom. To top it all off, he avoided the field entirely. Since he was not the winner, he is unable to discern.
“When you achieve three or five titles in a single year, as we did, then he has the right to speak.”
