Percy Tau, a forward for Bafana Bafana, is expecting a challenge on Friday in Uyo against the Nigerian Super Eagles.

In a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations semi-final match, the two sides were tied at 2–2. The Super Eagles emerged victorious in a 4–2 penalty shootout.

Once again, these two squads are competing for a spot in the FIFA World Cup in 2026.

After two games, Bafana Bafana have accumulated three points, good enough for second place in Group C.

With two points from the same amount of matches, the Super Eagles are in third place in the table.

Al Ahly player Tau has stated that his team would do their best to win the match.

Tau expressed his excitement and goal of helping South Africa qualify for the World Cup in an interview with African Football.

It won’t be easy, but we’ll strive to win away from home against Nigeria and Zimbabwe. They’re usually tough, and we lost to them at the AFCON 2023 competition, so we’ll have to do better this time.
