2023: President BBOL, Mike Umoh Reacts To Gov. Udom’s Choice Of Successor
Mr Mike Umoh, President of a socio cultural group, Bring Back Our Language (BBOL), has lended his voice on Governor Udom Emmanuel’s choice of successor for the 2023 governorship race in Akwa Ibom state.
Recall that the governor ,had anointed pastor Umo Enoh, the commissioner for Land and water resources in the state as his most preferred candidate to take over the mantle of leadership in Akwa Ibom.
In his reaction over the weekend, Mike Umo said governor Emmanuel’s decision to anoint a candidate is a step expected of a father. However the governor’s choice of a sole candidate is for he and his party, PDP.
He said politics entails the people’s choice and the people of Akwa Ibom will decide at the polling ground, if they are not comfortable with the governor’s choice.
“Any father who does not think of his successor ship, is a dead father”
“In leadership, if you don’t plan to succeed, you plan to fail. If you don’t plan for successor ship, that is wrong. For His Excellency, our dear governor to anoint someone to take over from him, it’s his choice, thats a good one.
“He knows the strength of the party and it’s consequences”.
According to Umo, though there are aspirants coming to get endorsement from the foundation, the BBOL will not succumb to their requests as it is not a political organization.
