Uyo is sh0cked – Ndanti Ekuh tells Uyo Council Chairman

The Special Assistant to the Governor on Research and Documentation, Elder Ndanti Ekuh has said that Uyo people are shocked to see the Chairman of Uyo Local Government Council, Dr. Uwemedimo Udo used less than 60 days to finish up a building project he picked up at less than 10% upon assumption of Office.

Ekuh stated this while paying an official visit to the Executive Chairman of Uyo Local Government Council, Dr. Uwemedimo Udoh in his office today.

According to him, it is shocking that a Chairman could used less than 60 days to finish up a building project he picked up at less than 10% and therefore scored Dr. Udo high for his achievements in less than hundreds of his administration.

While describing the Project as a scorecard of a noiseless and selfless Council Chairman with sound leadership prowess who follows the footprint of Governor Udom Emmanuel in infrastructural development, the Governor’s Aide said he was overwhelmed by the progress of work in the building project in less than 60 days, noting that it is simply a product of service alone given to Uyo Local Government by Dr. Udoh led administration.

Further, Elder Ekuh called on other Chairmen across the State to borrow a leave from Uyo Council Chairman, adding that the generality of Uyo people are happy that Uwemedimo Udoh has restored the dignity of Uyo Local Government as a model local government in the state in terms of service delivery and people-oriented leadership, even as he urged the Chairman to keep up the good work and ensure that Uyo remains the leading local government in the Completion Agenda of the State Governor.

The Governor’s Aide was received by the Council Chairman, Dr. Udoh and the Council Secretary, Mr. Ubong Udofia.

Welcoming the Governor’s Aide, the Uyo Council Boss thanked him for the visit, describing it as a solidarity visit aimed at encouraging, motivating and identifying with the Service Alone team of the Uyo Local Government Council.

He extolled Ekuh’s diligence in discharging his assignment as Research and Documentation Aide to Governor Udom Emmanuel and therefore thanked the Governor for giving Uyo people the opportunity to serve in his government while commending Elder Ekuh for his patriotism and love for Uyo.

Taking the Governor’s Aide on a tour of the office complex building project executed by his administration in just few days after taking over office as the Council Chairman, Dr.

Udo said he is working round the clock to ensure that the building is commissioned in his first hundred days in office.

The visit marked Elder Ekuh’s first official visit to the Chairman since his assumption of Office in December last year.

Also in the Council were the Vice Chairman, Evang. Sylvia Ekong, the Leader of Uyo Legislative Council, Hon. Ubong Effiong and other Councilors including Hon. Mmenyene Akpan, Hon. Stella Udo and Hon. Praise Otuekong.
